Race 7 - French GP
Yeah so, to quote my favourite driver, "Not one of my favourite circuits."
Max Verstappen:- Solid weekend leading to a solid race. He was brilliant last year as well but this year he has got the car and the maturity to really go for it and it is quite beautiful to watch him succeed.
Valtteri Bottas:- How is his luck this bad? I wish life turns around for this dude soon, because if I feel this demotivated what must he be feeling.
Lando Norris:- Alright, I'm changing my mind about this dude. Got to hand it to him, he's doing a superb job this year. Today proved his tyre management skill, something I haven't seen much from him before. Well done lad.
Daniel Ricciardo:- I'm not going to claim that his mojo is back - I will believe it when he does well in a proper testing circuit like Austria, but it was good to see some vintage DaniRic late breaking and dem buttery smooth moves.
Lance Stroll:- My driver of the day tbh, because AM left him (and also Seb) out for so, so long that I was starting to expect another exploding tyre here. Lance climbed from back of the grid to scoring a point and in style too at that. Now if only F1 coverage actually shows some of them on TV...
George Russell:- P12 on merit in a fucking Williams. That's it, that's the tweet.
And finally - Ferrari.
I have no idea what happened there and tbh I just want them to send Binotto home for the double header and let the team get on with it.
I hope they will turn out better in Austria. There's supposed to be rain though so. Yeah. Anyway. Goodbye France, and hope to see you not soon.
See you guys in a week from now. Til then - Auf Wiederschauen!
