Race review - Dutch GP (Draft)

(Yes this is a draft that I wrote and didn't complete last September but, honestly, I want to remember this bit of the Dutch GP last year, so I'm posting this for me)

SUPER SUPER

I am aware this is a race review and I will try to not make this an ode to Super Max and his Dutch fans, but you cannot help but acknowledge the sheer volume of passion that Max, all of 23 years of age let me remind you, commands in this one country.

They changed the road speed signs to say 33.

This is a private sponsored GP. Not even the middle east races are that.

They turned up for every single session - including FP1 - in humongous numbers all decked out in orange.

No, I haven't seen this level of passion for Formula 1, at least not in the recent past. The last one that comes to mind is Monza 2019, but that was not during a deadly pandemic. This was really the fans' weekend. Well done to all of them, and also well done for not being rude to Max's rivals like people were afraid could happen. You could see Lewis was fully ready for it when he got pole.

Well, it's a good thing they saw their hero win the GP then as a reward to all that, isn't it?
